The likely Republican nominee for vice president has spent 14 years in Washington with DeKalb County’s congressman, and Rep. Robert Aderholt said he’s pleased with colleague Paul Ryan.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee for the White House, tapped Ryan as his running mate.

Congressional Republicans are making their support of Chick-fil-A clear on Wednesday, a day fans of the chicken chain declared "Chick-fil-A Day" out of solidarity with owners' social conservatism.

Republicans, who have often served Chick-fil-A at lunches on Capitol Hill, made a point of eating chicken on Wednesday, including serving it at the weekly party lunch.
