WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) today announced that Marshall County has been awarded a $16.17 million Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to replace the Swayback Bridge on Hustleville Road. The award is the only BUILD Grant awarded in Alabama this year, making it a significant investment not only for Marshall County but for the entire state.

JASPER, AL – Congressman Aderholt announced that his office will be hosting a grant workshop on July 8th, 2026, for non-profits in Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District. 

This workshop will provide information on where to find federal grants, how to apply for grants, tips for writing and administering grants, and what resources are available to nonprofits.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt announced the approval of an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant of $1,000,000 to the City of Dora, AL.

The ARC grant will be used to build a new 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank and 1,000 linear feet of water main to enable development at Heritage Landing. This project will open the site for industrial, commercial, or retail developments. Heritage Landing is a 50-acre development site along Interstate 22 Exit 78.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Aderholt, a member of the America 250 Commission, joined Speaker Mike Johnson and other Members of Congress at the unveiling of the Semiquincentennial Congressional Time Capsule to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, which will be sealed for 250 years until America’s quincentennial on July 4, 2276.

This is an opportunity to document historic milestones through contributions from every state and territory.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Aderholt announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded almost $2 million in federal funding for hazard mitigation projects in Alabama’s Fourth District.

These projects were authorized through the Fiscal Year 2026 Homeland Security and Further Additional Continuing Appropriations Act and funded through FEMA’s Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant program.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) secured $35 million for Alabama hospitals as a part of the FY27 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act.

As Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, Congressman Aderholt directed Community Project Funding to be returned to the Labor-HHS bill this year.

The Secure America Act just passed the House and is headed to the President’s desk. This $70 billion dollar legislation is critical funding that supports U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through 2029.
