Military Academy Nominations
As a Member of Congress, I am able to nominate young men and women from the Fourth Congressional District to one of our country's four service academies: Air Force, Army, Merchant Marine, or Navy.
The United States Coast Guard does not accept Congressional nominations, applications must be submitted directly to the Director of Admissions.
If you're interested in attending a service academy, you should begin the application process in the spring of your junior year of high school.
To request assistance please download the Service Academy Nomination Form, complete and return to my Shoals District Office. Once my office has received your application, we will review it and contact you for further information. I will make my nominations in January of your senior year and the academies will announce the appointments by the following June. The deadline for submitting your application to my office is December 1.
Below are links to each of the U.S. Service Academies. I hope that you take time to look at each to determine the requirements and standards which will be expected of you. I am proud of the young men and women who have gotten previous appointments, and I look forward to helping you.
