Alabama Sleeping-Bag Manufacturer Gains Victory in Tariff Decision

A decision by the White House to remove certain sleeping bags from U.S. tariff reductions for developing nations has been hailed as a victory for a Haleyville manufacturer.
The move announced Thursday by the U.S. Trade Representative's office came in the annual review of the reductions, known as the Generalized System of Preferences.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama _ The $15 trillion national debt did not happen overnight.
Instead it is the accumulation of all budgets passed since for the last 50 years.
In fact, since 1934 there has only been 12 years when the federal government did not spend more money out of the national treasury than money taken in.
