Aderholt, Brooks say they are ready to represent the Shoals

FLORENCE — Republican congressmen Mo Brooks and Robert Aderholt told a gathering of the Shoals Chamber of Commerce that, though Colbert and Lauderdale counties are now in separate congressional districts, representation in Congress will remain seamless.

In fact, they said the Shoals will get double the representation now.

Congressional Republicans are making their support of Chick-fil-A clear on Wednesday, a day fans of the chicken chain declared "Chick-fil-A Day" out of solidarity with owners' social conservatism.

Republicans, who have often served Chick-fil-A at lunches on Capitol Hill, made a point of eating chicken on Wednesday, including serving it at the weekly party lunch.
