Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) released the following statement after leading a bipartisan Congressional letter with Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) to House and Senate leadership urging them to take immediate and necessary actions regarding rural broadband funding from the CARES Act.
Washington, D.C. —Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt, (AL-04) released the following statement after the United States Supreme Court decision in June Medical Services V. Russo.
"To say this decision by the Supreme Court is extremely disappointing is an understatement. The Court's ruling sides in favor of abortion providers rather than the health of the women they claim to care for. The law was reasonable and was passed in Louisiana with both Democrat and Republican support.

Washington —Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives to express his opposition to the Heroes Act. His statement was as follows:
"Mr. Speaker, I rise today in strong opposition to this bill.
No doubt, as it has been said, state and local governments across this nation are hurting because of the economic downturn this virus has created.
"The American economy cannot stay closed forever and plans are being made now for a phased approach for getting industry back up and running, businesses opened and people back to work. But an important part of getting us back to normal is widespread, fast, reliable antibody testing.
Guntersville —Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt, (AL-04) released the following statement in regard to an article he wrote in The Hill yesterday calling for the implementation of Buy America policies in the medical supply and pharmaceutical industry.
"The Paycheck Protection Program was written with urgency to address a great need. At a time when most of the population is under stay-at-home or shelter-in-place orders, this program has helped many businesses retain their employees while complying with state and local requirements. Yes, there definitely were some growing pains when the program first went active, but what we hear from the roughly 20,000 businesses who have benefited from this program in Alabama is that the program is working.
