“I have been a strong proponent of adoption since I was first elected to Congress,” said Congressman Aderholt. “These two Angels, Keith Lowhorne of Madison County and State Representative Ginny Shaver of Cherokee County, have both met and exceeded the definition of “Angels in Adoption.”

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL) led a letter to Egyptian Ambassador to the U.S. Motaz Zahran encouraging Egypt to work with the U.S., Israel and other allies to help innocent Palestinian refugees leave Gaza and enter safely into Egypt. Alongside Representatives Blake Moore (R-UT), Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Brad Schneider (D-IL), Congressman Aderholt requested that Egypt establish safe zones in Southern Gaza with humanitarian corridors that would aid civilians impacted by Hamas’s brutal war on Israel.

The Alabama League of Municipalities held a luncheon Thursday at The Brewers Cooperative in Guntersville where Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) gave an overview of what’s been going in in Washington so far this year.

Aderholt began by discussing the historic House speaker vote at the start of the new legislative session where Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was elected speaker after 15 rounds of voting, the most in 100 years.

“Once of the pieces of advice we received was that we needed to construct a large sign,” he said. “I think what we’re about to do beats any sign you could put up.”

WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Aderholt announced grants from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) for advanced education programs and facilities in north Alabama.

“I am pleased to announce an ARC grant to Gadsden State Community College in the amount of $226,468 for the Growing the Federation of Manufacturing Education (FAME) project,” said Aderholt.

“Additionally, Wild Alabama in Moulton, Ala. will receive an ARC grant for $25,000 to contribute to the Wild Alabama Educational Facility Design.”
