WASHINGTON—Today Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) announced that he has been able to secure language halting development of the U.S. Space Command (SPACECOM) in Colorado until an official basing decision has been made.
The bipartisan language is included in the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs fiscal year 2024 spending bill, following a review and approval by the United States Air Force.
Congressman Robert Aderholt released the following comments after a grand jury in Florida indicted former President Donald Trump:
"The left has been after Donald Trump going all the way back before he was even elected President," Congressman Aderholt said. "There was the Russian collusion hoax, and then the endless investigations, after he was elected. This is simply another chapter in the same, tired story."

WASHINGTON—Today Congressman Robert Aderholt pressed U.S. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on the proposed Title IX regulations allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports.
“Under these proposed rules, a mediocre male athlete can simply identify as a female and go in to dominate women’s sports. Simply put I just have to ask you, do you think this is fair to biological girls?” asked Congressman Aderholt.

WASHINGTON—The United States Fifth Circuit Court issued a decision in Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA which effectively requires the FDA to reinstate a regulatory structure of safeguards for women’s health in usage of mifepristone for chemical abortions. The Biden Administration’s Justice Department has announced that it would appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

Chief of Staff Kerry Knott is retiring after more than 17 years in public service on Capitol Hill. Knott will be succeeded in the position by Michael Lowry, who, like Knott, has years of Congressional experience.
WASHINGTON—Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) questioned Frank Kendall, Secretary of the Air Force, on the relocation of the United States Space Command in today’s hearing held by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense.
“Mr. Secretary, let me address this to you. There are some rumors out there that the President may overturn Space Command regarding the basing decision. I guess my question is what is your recommendation to the President and why would he [President Biden] overturn that decision?” asked Congressman Aderholt.
