WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Aderholt announced grants from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) for advanced education programs and facilities in north Alabama.

“I am pleased to announce an ARC grant to Gadsden State Community College in the amount of $226,468 for the Growing the Federation of Manufacturing Education (FAME) project,” said Aderholt.

“Additionally, Wild Alabama in Moulton, Ala. will receive an ARC grant for $25,000 to contribute to the Wild Alabama Educational Facility Design.”

WASHINGTON—Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) released the following statement upon the Air Force’s permanent basing decision for the United States Space Command.

“Not only is it outrageous, but also unfortunate for the American people to hear that the Secretary of the Air Force allowed politics to circumvent his, and the Department of Defense’s, own basing selection process that determined Huntsville, Alabama as the preferred location of SPACECOM,” said Aderholt.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Robert Aderholt announced grants from the Department of Homeland Security's FY 2022 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The Adamsburg Volunteer Fire Department on Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne and the Russellville Fire Department are the recipients of these two grants.

“I’m pleased to announce the two grants. The Adamsburg Volunteer Fire Department will receive $71,843.80. This money will be used to buy new technical rescue equipment and equipment to fight brush fires.

WASHINGTON—Today Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) announced that he has been able to secure language halting development of the U.S. Space Command (SPACECOM) in Colorado until an official basing decision has been made.

The bipartisan language is included in the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs fiscal year 2024 spending bill, following a review and approval by the United States Air Force.
