WASHINGTON—Today Congressman Aderholt welcomed the Republican Members of Congress assigned to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education for the 118th Congress.
The members of the Subcommittee are as follows:
- Rep. Robert Aderholt (AL) – Chair
- Rep. Mike Simpson (ID)
- Rep. Andy Harris (MD)
- Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (TN)
- Rep. John Moolenaar (MI)
- Rep. Julia Letlow (LA)
- Rep. Andrew Clyde (GA)
- Rep. Jake LaTurner (KS)
- Rep. Jake Ellzey (TX)
- Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ)
“It is my great honor to be able to welcome my colleagues to such an important subcommittee. I look forward to partnering with these Members as we work together to craft fiscally responsible spending bills that deliver on the Subcommittee’s commitments to the agencies within our jurisdiction, while not breaking the bank built by American taxpayers,” said Chairman Aderholt.
“Today is another step in delivering on our Commitment to America as we announce subcommittee rosters for the House Appropriations Committee. I congratulate Subcommittee Chairman Aderholt on his new role. As a fiscal conservative and a strong leader on family values, Congressman Aderholt will lead the subcommittee and its newly appointed members towards a common-sense conservative agenda in the 118th Congress,” said Congresswoman Kay Granger, Chair of the House Appropriations Committee.
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education is responsible for the largest pool of non-defense government spending in the federal budget. Agencies within the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee include the U.S. Departments of Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education; the Social Security Administration; and other related agencies that can be found here.
Congressman Aderholt also announced that he will remain a member of the Subcommittee on Defense and the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science.
“I am honored to remain on these two crucial subcommittees. I have worked to see increases in national security investments as threats from our adversaries have increased; remaining on the Defense subcommittee allows me the opportunity to continue that work,” said Aderholt.
“I am also looking forward to continuing my work to advance investments into American space power on the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science. Artemis I and SLS’s success is just the beginning of a new era of American leadership in space as we aim for the moon and beyond.”
