House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee Postpones ICE FY13 Budget Hearing
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04), Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement on behalf of the Subcommittee postponing today's FY13 budget hearing with Assistant Secretary for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) John Morton due to last night's unfortunate events that led to the loss and wounding of ICE Agents in ICE's Los Angeles office.
"We offer our sincerest condolences to the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the tragic and unfortunate loss and wounding of ICE agents last night in Los Angeles," said Aderholt. "Due to these unfortunate events, we have postponed today's hearing with Assistant Secretary Morton until further notice. Our thoughts and prayers are with the department, ICE and the families and friends of these agents during this tough time."
