August 7, 2007

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) today announced the dates and locations for the annual 4th Congressional District Agriculture and Industry Tour.
“I’m pleased to be able to announce the dates and locations for the eighth Annual 4th Congressional District Agriculture and Industry Tour,” said Congressman Aderholt. “North Alabama continues to experience solid economic growth and this tour provides an opportunity to highlight many of our local community’s successes in this area.”

Taking place on Thursday, September 13 and Friday, September 14, this eighth annual event will highlight businesses in Cullman and Winston counties. Among the businesses and sites the Congressman will visit are: Topre America (Cullman); The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery (Hanceville); Festhalle Market Platz (Cullman); Cavalier Homes (Addison); and Southern Energy Homes (Addison).

Congressman Aderholt continued, “In addition to learning more about these area businesses, this tour also provides me with the opportunity to meet and visit with constituents from across the district. I encourage anyone who has an interest in participating in the tour to call our district office and sign up.”

The Agriculture and Industry Tour is open to the public, however space is limited. Anyone interested in attending should contact Jennifer Taylor in the Cullman District Office at (256) 734-6043. The registration fee for the two-day event, which includes transportation, dinner and lunch, is $85. There will be a walking tour of each site. Guests must pre-register by September 5 to attend.
