Aderholt now knows the desperate need
Sand Mountain Reporter | August 12, 2011
We commend U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt for his trip this week to Marshall County so he could see for himself the Double Bridges near Asbury.
Aderholt, who had only seen photos of the area and heard stories, promised Asbury Volunteer Fire Department members and Marshall County Commissioners he will discuss the need to replace the single-lane bridges with state Department of Transportation officials and Gov. Robert Bentley. if(typeof oTNCMS_Ad.setRelative == 'function'){ oTNCMS_Ad.setRelative(); }oTNCMS_Ad.show();
While the old saying that photos are worth 1,000 words may be true, seeing the bridge, it's condition and traffic problems caused in the rural area firsthand and while riding in a fire truck is much more vivid. We hope he keeps his promise and sees the project through to the end.
