U.S House Hears of Pro-Life Movie

On its opening weekend, a movie with a strong pro-life message has been given a thumbs-up from the floor of the House of Representatives.
October Baby(PG-13) opens today (Friday) in several hundred theaters across America. The film, which features veteran actors John Schneider and Jasmine Guy, carries endorsements from pro-life groups like American Life League, Priests for Life, the National Black Pro-Life Union, and Susan B. Anthony List. (See earlier story)??Now, it also can boast the endorsement of the congressman who represents the Alabama district where the movie's producers and co-directors reside.??"Every life is beautiful," stated Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama) at the beginning of his remarks Thursday in the House. "[This movie] takes a clear stand for life -- something we often don't see at the movies."??Aderholt continued: "I'm grateful to all those who are involved in the making of this movie, especially the Erwin brothers from Alabama, for making October Baby -- and their willingness to put this important issue on the spotlight."
In addition, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley has proclaimed Friday "October Baby Day" in his state. The movie was filmed entirely in Alabama.
The Erwin brothers -- Jon and Andrew -- have won three Dove Awards for their work in making Christian music videos. October Baby is their first full-length film. They reside in Birmingham.
