Representative Robert Aderholt, (R) Haleyville, is having to pay a $13,000 fine for filing faulty campaign finance reports.

The Federal Election Commission said he kept inaccurate records from 2006 to 2010.
Aderholt represents Alabama's 4th Congressional District, which is just south of Huntsville and north of Birmingham.

It encompasses the counties of Franklin, Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Winston, Cullman, Blount, Marshall, Etowah, and DeKalb.
