Funding secured for Phil Campbell tornado recovery

PHIL CAMPBELL, Ala. (WAAY) - The city has been awarded a $1.5 million dollar grant to help with economic recovery after the April 27, 2011 tornadoes.
The money from the U.S. Economic Development Administration will pay for construction of water and sewer infrastructure to support the reconstruction of businesses in the Phil Campbell North Industrial Park. U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt, R-4th District, announced the funding in a news release Thursday.
The money is intended to support Phil Campbell's long-term recovery and help create jobs.
The cities of Cordova and Hackleburg also received grant money.
