Washington, D.C. — Congressman Robert Aderholt today released the following statement announcing more than $1.1 million to community health centers in Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District to help combat the opioid crisis. Congress appropriated the money and it will be distributed by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2 million grant to Wallace State Community College (WSCC) of Cullman, Alabama, to build a technical education center that will help workers gain new, in-demand skills. According to grantee estimates, the project is expected to create 68 jobs.
